Zurich International Life in Dubai is seeking a Senior Underwriter - Marine to independently underwrite medium to high complexity cargo business, leveraging extensive Marine Cargo expertise. You will build broker and client relationships, lead negotiations, and mentor junior underwriters.

The role requires 7+ years in underwriting, strong knowledge of Marine Cargo, and the ability to manage complex risk while supporting a hybrid work model within the Middle East team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years in underwriting or market facing area.
• Primary underwriting focus on Marine Cargo with assessment, pricing, structuring and management of complex cargo risks.
• Knowledge of underwriting philosophy, techniques, local regulations and guidelines.
• Ability to assess risk and work in a team-based environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong presentation skills.

Aufgaben

• Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority levels of highly complex assignments.
• Develop broker and client relationships and provide solutions.
• Negotiate terms and conditions and close deals; cross-sell other lines.
• Mentor lower underwriters; lead product development and training.
• Maintain underwriting manuals, programs and guidelines; review submissions.
