Job summary

Helm Grow in Dubai partners with a leading shipping group to appoint a Senior Marine Superintendent for its tanker fleet. You will own the technical and operational oversight of large crude oil tankers, including vetting, inspections, dry-docking, incident investigations, and full compliance with class, flag, and charterer requirements.

This shore-based role demands the judgment and credibility that comes from significant time at sea, with Master rank and hands-on VLCC/Suezmax experience

Qualifications

• Extensive sea time on large crude oil tankers (VLCC/Suezmax).
• Master rank or equivalent senior maritime qualification.
• Experience overseeing vetting, audits, and port State controls.
• Strong knowledge of class, flag and charterer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Own technical and operational oversight of the tanker fleet.
• Lead vetting, inspections, dry-docking, and incident investigations.

We're partnered with a leading shipping group in Dubai who are appointing a Senior Marine Superintendent to their tanker fleet.

This is a business with deep roots in the region and a global footprint, with this hire focused on maintaining the standard of their excellent reputation.

You'll take ownership of the technical and operational oversight of large crude oil tankers - vetting, inspections, dry-docking, incident investigation, and full compliance across class, flag, and charterer requirements.

A shore-based role, but one that demands the judgment and credibility that only comes from serious time at sea.

We're talking to candidates who've sailed up to Master rank with strong VLCC or Suezmax experience across various ranks, alongside genuine shore-based Marine Superintendent exposure.

You'll be commercially aware, technically sharp, and ready to relocate to Dubai if you're not already here.
