Job summary

Bahri in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Master Mariner to monitor day-to-day vessel operations, liaise between ships and the organization, and ensure safety, certifications and regulatory compliance.

You will organize audits and inspections, oversee SIRE/CDI inspections, coordinate with agencies, support load/discharge operations, and lead investigations into navigational or operational incidents.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years sailing experience as Master on board a ship.
• At least 2 years of shore experience as a marine superintendent.
• Master Mariner certificate of competency.
• Certificate of Competency must be recognized for the role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day operations of the vessels and liaise between ships and the organization.
• Organize and follow up on audits and inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee SIRE/CDI inspections and arrange agency visits for timely disbursements and invoicing.
• Monitor ships transit through high risk areas and coordinate safety measures.
• Provide support on safety and emergencies and investigate navigational/operational incidents.
