Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services in Dubai seeks an experienced Project Manager – Marine to lead complex marine infrastructure projects from planning to delivery.

You will oversee quay walls, jetties, breakwaters, dredging, and shoreline protection, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 15+ years in marine construction, UAE authorities liaison, and strong leadership to drive multidisciplinary teams to successful completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Marine Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in marine and coastal infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering quay walls, jetties and breakwaters.
• Experience with UAE authorities and regulatory bodies is preferred.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of marine construction projects.
• Manage jetties, quay walls, breakwaters, revetments, dredging and shoreline protection.
• Develop and monitor schedules, budgets, and milestones.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, port authorities and regulators.
• Oversee subcontractors, marine crews, and site teams.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, offshore safety and lifting operations.
• Review method statements, risk assessments and technical submittals.
• Manage procurement of marine equipment such as barges, tugs, cranes and dredgers.
• Identify risks (weather, tides, logistics) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews and reporting to senior management.
• Ensure works comply with contracts, quality standards and local regulations.
