Overview of the Role
Al-Futtaim is seeking a Senior Manager - Treasury Controlling in Dubai, United Arab Emirates to support the Global Treasury Centre with treasury governance, transformation, financial control, reporting, AI strategy, and risk management. Working closely with the Head of Controlling, the role will develop governance frameworks, oversee strategic treasury initiatives, strengthen controls, and provide actionable financial insights within a large and complex organization.
What You Will Do
- Treasury Governance and Compliance
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Treasury governance frameworks.
- Maintain Treasury Policies, SOPs, SLAs, DOAs, RACI matrices, and relevant operating models.
- Support effective communication and adoption of governance requirements across Global Treasury, GBS, and business divisions.
- Monitor compliance with established treasury policies and controls.
- Manage annual governance reviews and ensure identified compliance actions are closed within required timelines.
- Treasury Transformation and Process Excellence
- Drive treasury transformation initiatives covering standardization, automation, stronger controls, and operational efficiency.
- Govern strategic projects involving Cash Pooling, In-House Bank, Trade Finance digitization, and Treasury technology.
- Monitor project delivery against agreed timelines and budgets.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual activity and associated operational risks.
- Support the development of efficient and scalable treasury processes.
- Treasury AI Strategy and Innovation
- Lead governance activities associated with Treasury AI development and deployment.
- Establish and maintain appropriate controls for AI-enabled treasury solutions.
- Ensure adherence to applicable stage-gate processes.
- Support adoption of AI-enabled reporting, analytics, and decision-support capabilities.
- Partner with EIT and the AI office to implement the Treasury AI strategy.
- Track compliance with the AI governance framework and monitor deployment of approved AI use cases.
- Treasury Reporting and Financial Control
- Oversee preparation, review, and analysis of Treasury reports.
- Monitor Treasury P&L, Balance Sheet positions, and treasury operating costs.
- Provide management with clear and actionable financial insights.
- Ensure Treasury reports are published within required timelines.
- Monitor performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic objectives.
- Maintain Treasury P&L and cost variances within agreed thresholds.
- Audit and Risk Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for internal and external treasury audits.
- Maintain an effective treasury control environment.
- Coordinate responses to audit requirements and findings.
- Ensure audit actions are addressed within agreed timelines.
- Work toward preventing repeat high-risk audit observations.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across treasury governance, transformation, reporting, technology, and control activities.
- Communicate complex treasury matters clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Influence and collaborate with colleagues across different business functions.
- Maintain effective working relationships while managing competing priorities and deadlines.

What Qualifies You for the Role
- CA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification is required.
- ACT or similar treasury coursework is beneficial.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within a large organization managing treasury operations and controls.
- Advanced knowledge of treasury processes, banking, hedging, and trade finance.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP TRM.
- Proficiency with Power BI and related analytical reporting tools.
- Ability to combine detailed financial analysis with treasury governance and strategic transformation requirements.
