Job Overview:
The Senior Manager QHSES Assurance is responsible for developing departmental plans, including business, production, and organizational priorities. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- 15+ years of experience in EPC construction and fabrication
- ISO Auditor 9001, 14001, 18001, and other recognized Quality Management Systems Internal Auditor certifications
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels, with the ability to explain complex technical issues
- Strong understanding of lean and continuous improvement principles

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Establish and improve quality programs with the Director of Assurance to enhance organizational performance
- Drive performance quality to ensure efficiency and effectiveness, aiming for “First Time Quality”
- Develop and implement problem-solving techniques to prevent defects
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to analyze trends in KPIs, QI, and Cost of Quality
- Provide technical support for materials and welding in bids and projects
- Resolve technical issues on projects, ensuring fitness for purpose
- Promote quality, productivity, and compliance with business conduct standards
- Identify and address training needs within the quality department within budget constraints
- Participate in weekly operations meetings, providing quality updates and statistics
- Ensure the Quality System complies with the Business Line Quality Manual
- Contribute to bids and assess workforce and resource needs for projects, reviewing QA/QC/NDT costs
- Coordinate with project teams to align Quality Plans and Procedures
- Support industrial engineering initiatives and the implementation of 3C and 5S methodologies
- Oversee KPI, QI, and global performance quality analysis, promoting benchmarking and lessons learned
- Analyze measurement data trends to set targets, plan improvements, and verify compliance
- Collaborate with project quality managers on QC and NDT activities
- Use stakeholder feedback to improve solutions
- Translate technical concepts into clear training materials
- Lead the enforcement and verification of compliance with McDermott policies and procedures
- Ensure employees understand their quality responsibilities and complete mandatory training timely
