Job summary

AECOM in the United Arab Emirates seeks a seasoned Senior Planning Manager to lead schedule and cost controls across major building and infrastructure programs. You will shape baselines, drive performance, and deliver clear insights to help clients make informed decisions.

You will mentor planning engineers, manage complex projects, and ensure alignment with contractual milestones while interfacing with clients, consultants, and contractors from a senior leadership perspective.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
• 15 years of planning experience on major building and infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering projects valued at AED 800 million+.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects including roads, utilities and civil works.
• Extensive experience in EOT assessments, delay analysis and claims management.
• Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and project controls methodologies.
• Strong presentation, stakeholder management and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all planning, scheduling, and project controls activities for major building and infrastructure projects.
• Develop, review, and manage baseline, revised, recovery, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor project progress, critical path activities, and key contractual milestones.
• Evaluate EOT submissions, delay analyses, and TIAs.
• Review contractor programs and ensure contractual compliance.
• Provide strategic planning advice to Project Directors and senior management.
• Lead planning meetings and present project performance reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Develop mitigation and recovery plans for delays.
• Oversee project controls reporting, forecasting, and schedule risk management.
• Mentor and manage planning engineers and project controls staff.

Job Description

• Lead all planning, scheduling, and project controls activities for major building and infrastructure projects.
• Develop, review, and manage baseline, revised, recovery, and resource-loaded schedules.
• Monitor project progress, critical path activities, and key contractual milestones.
• Evaluate and manage EOT submissions, delay analyses, and Time Impact Assessments (TIA).
• Review contractor programs and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Provide strategic planning advice to Project Directors and senior management.
• Lead planning meetings and present project performance reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Develop mitigation and recovery plans to address project delays.
• Oversee project controls reporting, forecasting, and schedule risk management.
• Mentor and manage planning engineers and project controls staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of planning experience on major building and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated delivery of multiple completed projects valued at AED 800 million+.
• Strong experience in large, complex, and detailed building developments.
• Proven experience on major infrastructure projects, including roads, utilities, and associated civil works.
• Extensive experience in Extension of Time (EOT) assessments, delay analysis, and claims management.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and project controls methodologies.
• Excellent presentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Previous experience leading planning teams and interfacing directly with clients, consultants, and contractors.
