Job summary

Dubai Holding Group Services invites a Senior Manager – IT Procurement Category Management to lead IT category strategies and end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives. You will partner with senior technology stakeholders to craft sourcing solutions, negotiate with strategic IT suppliers, and drive procurement across software, cloud, infrastructure and related services.

• 8–12+ years in procurement/category management with strong IT exposure; 3–5+ years in leadership.
• Strong IT procurement, category management, strategic sourcing, and complex negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of category strategies across key IT spend areas.
• Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives from requirements to supplier mobilisation.
• Partner with senior technology stakeholders to provide commercial advice and sourcing solutions.
• Lead complex negotiations with strategic IT suppliers to optimise costs and manage risk.
• Drive procurement across IT categories including software, SaaS, cloud, infra, cybersecurity, and managed services.
• Identify savings and value opportunities through spend, demand, and TCO analyses.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, governance, and risk; lead the IT procurement team.

Job Overview:

Here’s your chance to step into the role of Senior Manager – IT Procurement Category Management at Dubai Holding Group Services. In this position, you’ll take on key responsibilities that include:

• Lead the development and execution of category strategies across key IT spend areas.
• Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, from understanding business requirements and market engagement through negotiation, contracting and supplier mobilisation.
• Partner with senior Technology and business stakeholders to provide commercial advice and develop effective sourcing solutions.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations with strategic IT suppliers to deliver value, optimise costs and manage commercial risk.
• Drive procurement across IT categories including software and SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, managed services and IT professional services.
• Identify savings and value opportunities through spend, demand, utilisation and total-cost-of-ownership analysis.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, performance, governance and associated risks.
• Lead and develop the IT procurement team, building capability across sourcing, negotiation, contracting and stakeholder management.

About you:

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
• 8–12+ years of experience in procurement/category management with strong IT exposure, including 3–5+ years in leadership roles.
• Strong experience in IT procurement, category management, strategic sourcing and complex commercial negotiations.
• Sound understanding of major IT categories and commercial models, including software/SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications and managed services.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, including spend analysis, total cost of ownership and cost optimisation.
• Proven ability to build relationships, influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex commercial recommendations effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with experience developing and managing teams.
• Experience working with e-sourcing platforms such as SAP Ariba or Coupa.
• Experience within the Middle East/UAE technology and supplier landscape.
• CIPS or ISM CPSM certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant IT, cloud, cybersecurity, project management or continuous improvement certifications would be advantageous.
