Job summary

Prime Strategy Consultants in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee machine-shop operations. You will supervise machinists, fitters and workshop technicians, manage turning, milling, drilling, and grinding, and monitor dimensions and tolerances to achieve quality outputs.

This role requires 8-10+ years of hands-on machining experience, strong practical knowledge, and the ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of machine-shop/workshop experience.
• Strong practical machining knowledge.
• CNC and conventional machining exposure preferred.
• Mechanical repair/reconditioning experience.
• Knowledge of gearboxes, shafts and hydraulic cylinders highly desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting ability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise machinists, fitters and workshop technicians.
• Manage turning, milling, drilling, boring and grinding operations.
• Monitor machining dimensions and tolerances.
• Optimize machine utilization and reduce idle time.
• Supervise gearbox and shaft repair/reconditioning.
• Oversee hydraulic cylinder repair and testing.
• Manage dismantling, inspection, fitting and assembly activities.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production and QC.
• Monitor workshop manpower, productivity and job completion.
