DP World in Dubai seeks an experienced Legal Counsel to provide commercially focused guidance to head office and regional management across the Ports & Terminals pillar. You will review and negotiate a broad range of agreements, identify legal issues in transactions, and oversee external counsel to ensure compliant, efficient contracting.

A law degree with admission to practice and 5+ years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the Middle East, is required.

Qualificações

• Law Degree from an accredited university.
• Qualification to practice law from a recognised regulatory body.
• Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in an internationally recognised law firm and/ or multinational company.
• Knowledge of cross-border corporate and commercial transactions, ideally infrastructure projects.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of differing international legal practices.
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to negotiate transaction documentation with counterparties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic, effective, reliable and user-friendly support to senior managers within DP World on legal matters across Ports & Terminals.
• Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of legal documents, ensuring legal requirements are met.
• Identify and analyse legal issues arising in transactions and new projects and provide clear recommendations.
• Advise on regulatory, commercial and contentious matters with potential cross-regional or global impact.
• Maintain links with external counsel and manage external spend.
• Help develop legal knowhow, templates, playbooks and contracting processes for harmonised practices.
• Liaise between commercial colleagues and external counsel and oversee outsourced work.
• Provide reporting to Group VP Legal on material matters.
