Job summary

DBB is seeking a Senior/Lead Estimator with marine project experience to develop unit rate build-ups, allocate indirect costs, and prepare tender analyses. The role includes updating BOQ estimates and producing comparative analyses for tender options and cash flow.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering/quantity surveying background, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with estimating tools and Excel to support procurement and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Senior/Lead Estimator in marine construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction costs and pricing strategies.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Excel.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop unit rate build-ups for labor, plant, and materials based on established productivity norms.
• Allocate indirect costs and preliminaries to the relevant section of the tender.
• Prepare and review commercial comparison sheets in coordination with the Procurement team to evaluate subcontractor and vendor offers.
• Highlight exclusions and qualifications in vendor quotes that could lead to financial risk.
• Update the BOQ estimate based on revised drawings or addenda issued during the tender period.
• Prepare comparative cost analysis for options.
• Prepare tender stage cash flow.
