Job summary
Duncan & Ross Consulting seeks an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design across FEED and Detailed Design phases for large-scale industrial projects in Abu Dhabi. You will manage deliverables, ensure design integrity, and guide a multi-disciplinary team to meet project requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent required.
- Master's degree is advantageous.
- 12–15 years of electrical engineering experience in industrial, oil & gas, petrochemical, or infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a Lead Electrical Engineer or equivalent leadership role.
- Strong FEED and Detailed Design experience in EPC projects.
- Proven leadership of electrical engineering teams and deliverables.
- Extensive knowledge of power generation, transmission and distribution systems.
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NEC and related standards.
- Experience in electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash).
- Proficiency with ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, SKM, AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering activities during FEED and Detailed Design.
- Oversee development and approval of electrical deliverables and specifications.
- Establish and maintain design standards, procedures, and project specs.
- Ensure technical quality and consistency of deliverables.
- Review and approve calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Instrumentation teams.
- Manage technical queries, deviations, and design-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NEC and project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers.
- Review contractor and vendor documents and submissions.
- Lead technical meetings with clients, consultants, licensors, and stakeholders.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, constructability reviews.
- Support procurement through technical bid evaluations and clarifications.
- Monitor progress, resources, and schedules; ensure deliverable completion.
- Identify technical risks and implement engineering solutions.
- Provide construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support.
