Job summary

Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Surveyor to perform site surveys, setting-out and leveling for building projects. You will establish reference points, grid lines and coordinates as per drawings, while verifying excavation levels and structural positions to ensure precise execution of works.

The role requires 5+ years in civil construction, proficiency with Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, Auto Levels, AutoCAD, and strong drawing interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of construction surveying, setting out, levelling, and site measurements.
• Proficiency in operating Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, and Auto Levels.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and survey data processing software.
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings and coordinates.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Good English communication skills.
• Professional surveying certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and setting-out activities for building construction projects in the UAE.
• Establish reference points, benchmarks, grid lines and building coordinates as per approved drawings.
• Carry out setting-out for foundations, footings, columns, beams, slabs and other structural elements.
• Perform levelling, alignment and dimensional checks at various stages of construction.
• Verify excavation levels, foundation locations, column positions and structural dimensions.
• Read and interpret civil, architectural and structural drawings to ensure accurate execution of works.
• Operate Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment, Auto Levels and other surveying instruments.
• Monitor construction progress and verify levels, coordinates and dimensions against approved drawings.
• Conduct as-built surveys and prepare survey reports and measurement records.
• Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams to ensure accurate positioning and alignment of structural elements.
• Identify and report discrepancies between actual site conditions and approved drawings.
• Maintain surveying equipment and ensure accuracy of measurements throughout the construction process.
