Job summary

Alpago Manufacturing in Dubai, UAE is seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer to deliver accurate cost and quantity estimates for joinery works, supporting tendering and variation orders from take-off to submission. You will review client drawings, ensure alignment with specifications, and document assumptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• 8–10 years of estimation experience in joinery, interior fit-out, or furniture manufacturing.
• Proficiency in take-off and estimation software, MS Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Good communication skills for coordination with clients, consultants, and internal departments.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, layouts, and details from the client and suggest practical alternatives.
• Ensure accuracy of cost and quantity estimates for joinery works per requirements.
• Carry out variance analysis to improve cost estimation accuracy.
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and prepare accurate BOQs.
• Maintain documentation of assumptions and exclusions made during estimation.
• Prepare and submit estimates for tenders and variation orders on time.
• Work efficiently and meet tight tender submission timelines.
• Provide prompt responses to RFQs and clarifications from clients or consultants.
• Follow up on approvals or feedback and maintain correspondence records.
• Prepare and maintain a unit rate list for standard items.
