Job summary

Black & Grey HR, in partnership with a UAE-based construction and infrastructure leader, seeks a Joinery Cost Estimator in Dubai to own pre-contract estimating for joinery and fit-out projects.

You will review drawings, prepare detailed BOQs, manage supplier quotations, and coordinate with production to ensure bids are accurate, competitive, and profitable.

The role requires a minimum of 6 years in cost estimation within joinery/fit-out, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant cost estimation experience in joinery/fit-out/interior contracting.
• Proven pre-contract estimation experience: tendering, bidding, BOQ preparation, and pricing.
• Senior or supervisory level experience in a corporate or large-scale organization.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own estimating for joinery and fit-out during tendering and bidding.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQ and tender documents to understand scope.
• Conduct site visits during bidding to gather information affecting cost.
• Determine labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements from plans.
• Prepare detailed and itemized BOQs and cost breakdowns for each project.
• Coordinate with production/workshop to ensure estimates align with capabilities.
• Engage suppliers/subcontractors to obtain quotations and confirm material availability.
• Analyze technical and commercial terms and address clarifications as needed.
• Assemble complete bid packages with required documentation and cost data.
• Regularly update historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy.
