JobCubby in the UAE is seeking a Game Designer to shape mobile experiences, from core gameplay loops to the story and characters that bring the game to life.

You will collaborate with a multinational team to design gameplay systems, design architecture, and help scale backend tooling to power live services, with a hybrid work model and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java; others like Golang/Node.js/PHP are a plus.
• Comfortable with MySQL, ClickHouse, Redis and Elasticsearch.
• Practical experience with messaging queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design discussions shaping system and tech choices.
• Design and build backend logic and APIs powering the product end-to-end.
• Own code quality: write unit and integration tests; review peers' code.
