Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
• Build production-ready services and APIs with Spring Boot.
• Architect microservices to meet complex requirements.
• Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and security.
• Translate specifications into clear components and plans.
• Develop REST APIs with validation, error handling, and auth.
• Evaluate service boundaries and integration patterns.
• Write clean, modular, well-documented code.

• Troubleshoot defects and runtime issues.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Improve backend reliability with logging and testing.
• Review code with peers and provide feedback.
• Explain architectural tradeoffs and alternatives.
• Collaborate remotely with engineers and researchers.
• Document architecture, APIs, and decisions.
• Assess scalability, availability, and security of backends.
• Support data-intensive AI-driven requirements when relevant.
• Adapt to unfamiliar codebases and environments.
