Job summary

ByteDance in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a skilled backend engineer to drive server-side development for enterprise solutions within the Office Intelligence team. Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or related field.
• Familiar with Java or Golang tech stack; JVM/pprof tuning; can locate service problems.
• Familiar with distributed system design patterns; using messaging queues, distributed storage, cache, locks.
• Familiar with OS, networks, information security; able to use data structures and algorithms to solve problems.
• Familiar with MySQL and NoSQL; able to analyze and solve related problems independently.
• Familiar with at least one scripting language; can troubleshoot on Linux.
• Strong self-learning, follow server-side tech progression; continuously update skills.
• Good execution, responsibility, communication and collaboration; able to lead medium/large projects.
• Proficiency in English is a must.
• Preferred: familiarity with AI/ML and applying them to business domain.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for server-side project development of ByteDance's enterprise solution products, delivering highly available, high-performance, and highly scalable business products through high-quality design and coding;
• Participating in the construction of backend infrastructure and tackling difficult technical problems;
• Exploring tools and processes to improve team efficiency and contributing to technical atmosphere;
• Contributing at all stages of the product delivery cycle including requirement communication, system design, testing communication, monitoring and operation of online systems, and project management.
