Job summary

IDS Logic Pvt Ltd invites applications for a Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, build and operate high-performance enterprise backend systems. You will own critical backend components, scale to millions of transactions per month and work on Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, PostgreSQL and Redis in an on-site Dubai environment.

You should have 15+ years of hands-on experience, strong systems thinking, and be able to address performance bottlenecks, data integrity and security.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on ownership of production Java backend systems.
• Deep Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x expertise.
• Strong PostgreSQL, Redis, and data-layer design.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar messaging.
• Experience in on-site Dubai deployment for 6+ months.
• Ability to explain bottlenecks, scalability and performance.
• OpenAPI, OAuth2/OIDC, and API security knowledge.
• Cloud: Azure; Docker and Kubernetes proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable Spring Boot microservices.
• Implement strict input validation and RFC 7807 error handling.
• Ensure data integrity and validation at the backend.
• Build production-grade services processing millions of transactions.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas for high-volume systems.
• Implement indexing, partitioning and query optimisation.
• Manage migrations, isolation levels, and zero-downtime changes.
• Maintain performance for databases with hundreds of millions of rows.
• Collaborate on caching, distributed locks and queues.
• Develop reliable asynchronous pipelines with Kafka/RabbitMQ.
• Build secure REST APIs and integrations with gateways.
• Maintain logging, metrics and tracing; meet SLOs.
