Job summary

Intelligent Solutions in the UAE seeks a Senior IT Officer / IT Specialist to maintain and enhance our IT infrastructure and network. The role requires hands-on experience with SonicWall firewalls, VPNs, Trend Micro Apex One, Email Gateway, and NAS administration to ensure security, reliability and efficiency.

You will support Windows Server environments, IT services, and asset management, handle incidents via the ticketing system, and collaborate with vendors and teams on IT projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure and networking.
• Proven expertise in SonicWall firewalls, VPN, Trend Micro Apex One, and NAS storage.
• Experience with IT support, Windows Server administration, and network protocols.
• Preferred: CompTIA Network, CCNA, MCSA or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage core network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VLANs, Wi‑Fi, and VPN.
• Configure and maintain SonicWall firewalls with SSL and Site-to-Site VPN, NAT, and content filtering.
• Monitor performance, perform firmware upgrades, and proactive device monitoring.
• Implement backup, failover, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide Level 2 and 3 IT support to end users and manage incidents via IT ticketing system.
• Administer Windows Server infrastructure and NAS storage, manage assets and licensing.

General Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior IT Officer / IT Specialist for our client a reputable organization in the UAE. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining supporting and enhancing the companys IT infrastructure and network environment. This position requires strong hands-on experience with SonicWall firewalls VPN configurations Trend Micro Apex One Email Gateway and NAS administration along with a solid background in IT support and system administration. The role is vital in ensuring the security reliability and efficiency of IT operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Network & Infrastructure

• Manage monitor and troubleshoot core network infrastructure including LAN/WAN VLANs Wi-Fi and VPN.
• Configure and maintain SonicWall firewalls (SSL & Site-to-Site VPN NAT policies content filtering).
• Conduct network performance tuning firmware upgrades and proactive device monitoring.
• Implement and maintain backup failover and disaster recovery solutions.
• Maintain accurate and updated network documentation including IP schemas and topology diagrams.

User Support & Endpoint Security

• Provide Level 2 and 3 IT support to end users resolving hardware software and network-related issues.
• Manage incidents and service requests using an IT ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
• Administer and monitor Trend Micro Apex One for endpoint security and compliance.
• Deploy and manage endpoint protection policies across all devices.
• Conduct user training on cybersecurity awareness and safe computing practices.

Systems & Server Administration

• Support and maintain Windows Server infrastructure and related services.
• Oversee NAS storage systems ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Manage IT assets including hardware lifecycle inventory and software licensing.
• Collaborate with vendors service providers and internal teams to deliver IT projects.
• Participate in and lead IT initiatives assigned by management.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field.
• 46 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure networking and user support.
• Proven expertise in:

1. SonicWall firewalls and VPN (SSL & Site-to-Site)
2. Trend Micro Apex One and Email Gateway
3. Windows Server administration
4. NAS storage management
5. Networking protocols (TCP/IP VLANs DNS DHCP routing switching)
6. IT support and ticketing systems

• Preferred certifications: CompTIA Network CCNA MCSA or equivalent.

Desirable Skills:
