Overview
Senior IP Lawyer (B2C iGaming, multiple locations) – our client is an international corporate entity with offices in Bangkok, Dubai, and Malta. The role focuses on managing iGaming B2C investments and providing strategic advisory across business growth, market expansion, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Design the annual filing and renewal roadmap by IP type, territory, class, and budget.
- Continuously audit the portfolio, identify gaps, and recommend defensive or offensive filings.
- Clearance and prosecution: Oversee knockout and full searches, issue legal researches and opinions, and approve go / no-go decisions.
- Direct outside agents on national and Madrid filings; manage examiner actions, renewals, and recordals.
- Target ≥ 90 % registration success across all applications.
- Audit and keep updated internal IP registry.
- Lead copyrights registrations for different types of IP.
- Enforcement and dispute resolution: Decide on oppositions, cancellations, DMCA notices, UDRP / URS complaints, customs seizures, platform takedowns, and litigation.
- Lead settlement negotiations and supervise external lawyers in multi-jurisdictional IP matters.
- Ensure strategic use of registrars and platform abuse channels for efficient IP enforcement and domain recovery.
- Track and report cost-benefit metrics for every action.
- Commercial support: Draft and negotiate IP clauses in licensing, distribution, M&A, and technology agreements.
- Advise Marketing, Product, R&D, and HR on proper trademark and copyright usage.
- Digital brand protection: Oversee monitoring and legal escalation of infringements across domains, app stores, ads, social media, and code repositories.
- Authorize rapid takedowns through registrars, Netcraft, Cloudflare, Google TCRP, etc.
- Governance and reporting: Maintain an audit-ready docket and a live risk dashboard; deliver concise weekly updates to the Head of IP and quarterly IP heat-maps to the Board.
- Leadership: Mentor enforcement specialists and paralegals; build SOPs and playbooks; drive continuous improvement to cut cycle times and external spend.
Qualifications
- LL.B. / JD and an active licence to practise law in at least one jurisdiction.
- 7+ years of hands-on IP work, including global brand protection, takedown and domain dispute enforcement, and contested matters.
- Proven wins in oppositions, UDRP / URS, and at least one multi-country litigation or high-value settlement.
- Strong contract-drafting skills for licensing and tech transactions.
- Fluent English; an additional Asian or EU language is an advantage.
- Proficiency with leading IP-management and brand-monitoring platforms (Corsearch, MarkMonitor, Red Points) plus solid Excel / Sheets capability.
