Seddiqi Holding, one of Dubai's most respected family-owned conglomerates known for operating Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons — the exclusive distributor of 50+ luxury watch brands in the UAE — is looking for a Senior Inventory & Financial Data Specialist to strengthen its accounting inventory control function. The role bridges finance, IT, and operations, ensuring inventory and financial data integrity across ERP, POS, warehouse, and reporting systems.
Dubai, UAE
You perform accounting inventory control activities ensuring inventory records are accurate, complete, and aligned with financial reporting requirements. You review inventory movements, adjustments, write-offs, transfers, valuation, COGS, and purchases to identify accounting discrepancies and control gaps, and act as custodian of inventory and finance system master data across all integrated platforms.
You perform periodic reconciliations between inventory subledgers, ERP, POS, warehouse, and financial reporting systems, analyzing differences related to stock, purchases, COGS, inventory valuation, and revenue-related movements. You support month-end and year-end closing activities by validating inventory balances, preparing reconciliation schedules, and ensuring timely closure of open items.
You prepare inventory accounting reports, reconciliation schedules, and system extracts for internal and external audits. You support audit queries by tracing inventory transactions and validating source data, ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards, and identify control gaps and process improvement opportunities to enhance audit readiness.
You maintain standardized data structures, interface mappings, and data flows across finance, POS, ERP, warehouse, and reporting systems to reduce errors and reconciliation gaps. You work closely with Finance, IT, and Operations to resolve data issues and strengthen overall system controls.
Seddiqi Holding operates in a uniquely complex retail inventory environment — managing high-value luxury watch inventory across multiple brands, boutiques, and channels demands a level of data precision and control that goes well beyond standard retail accounting. The SAP and POS reconciliation scope, combined with Power BI reporting and audit preparation responsibility, makes this a genuinely senior and cross-functional role. As noted in our previous Seddiqi listing, the group offers stable, long-term employment with structured benefits — a meaningful consideration in a market where many roles are contract-based.
