Job summary

Confidential seeks a Senior Technical Designer – Interior Design to lead technical design development and prepare construction documentation for interior fit-out projects. You will coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP disciplines and ensure drawings meet design intent, standards and timelines.

The role requires strong experience in joinery detailing, construction documentation, and the use of AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or BIM is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Strong experience in technical interior design, interior fit-out, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit, BIM, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
• Good understanding of joinery detailing, construction methods, materials, finishes, and technical specifications.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to technical quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and construction documentation for interior design projects.
• Prepare and review detailed joinery drawings, bespoke furniture details, and interior fit-out drawings.
• Translate design concepts and design intent into accurate, technically feasible, and construction-ready drawings.
• Coordinate interior design drawings with architectural, structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review drawings for technical accuracy, constructability, compliance, and adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams to resolve technical issues and design discrepancies.
• Review and incorporate comments from clients, consultants, and site teams, ensuring timely drawing revisions.
• Ensure appropriate selection and detailing of materials, finishes, fixtures, and interior design components.
• Conduct site visits, where required, to verify dimensions, assess site conditions, and address technical challenges.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and technical documentation while ensuring timely delivery of design packages.
