Job summary

Fortezza Interiors is seeking an Interior Designer specializing in 2D elevations and FFE drawings to join our in-house design team in Dubai. You will translate approved concepts into buildable documentation, coordinating with joinery workshops and MEP engineers to ensure accuracy from concept to IFC release.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years of UAE experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture, and advanced AutoCAD skills (with SketchUp or Revit as a plus).

Qualifications

• Ability to translate approved concepts into buildable drawings.
• Proficient in adhering to UAE authority drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 2D elevations for walls, joinery, feature details, and finishes across residential, office, retail, and hospitality projects
• Develop comprehensive FFE schedules and drawings — specifying furniture, fixtures, lighting, and equipment with accurate dimensions, quantities, and finishes
• Translate approved concept designs and 3D visualizations into construction-ready 2D documentation
• Coordinate elevations and FFE layouts with the joinery workshop to ensure drawings are fabrication-accurate
• Liaise with MEP and site teams to resolve clashes between elevations, services, and furniture placement
• Maintain drawing standards, symbol libraries, and FFE specification templates for consistency across projects
• Prepare material and finish boards to accompany elevation packages
• Support design leads during client presentations with clear, accurate drawing sets
• Track revisions and manage drawing version control through to final issue-for-construction (IFC) sets

Interior Designer — 2D Elevations & FFE Specialist

About the Role

Fortezza Interiors is looking for an Interior Designer with a strong specialization in 2D elevations and FFE (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) drawings to join our in-house design team. You'll take approved concepts through to detailed, buildable documentation — working closely with our joinery workshop and MEP engineers so nothing is lost between the drawing and the finished space.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 3–6 years of UAE-based experience producing 2D elevations and FFE documentation, ideally within a design-and-build or joinery-integrated studio
• Strong working knowledge of UAE authority drawing and submission standards (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DEWA, etc.)
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (essential); working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or similar 3D software is a plus
• Strong understanding of joinery detailing, materials, and finishes common to the UAE market
• Experience preparing FFE schedules for procurement and fit-out teams operating in the UAE
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, buildable drawings under project timelines
• Comfortable working across residential, commercial, and retail interior typologies
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with design, joinery, and MEP teams
• UAE driving license and valid UAE work eligibility preferred

Nice to Have

• Experience coordinating drawing sets around DEWA and other authority approvals
• Prior experience within a Dubai or wider-UAE interior design/joinery studio
• Portfolio showing UAE residential, commercial, or retail project work
