Job summary

Mustard & Linen in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Interior Designer to lead high-end interior projects from concept to completion at our Abu Dhabi studio. This full-time, on-site role focuses on developing design concepts, producing detailed drawings and presentations, and coordinating FF&E selections to meet client expectations.

You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers, oversee documentation, and mentor junior designers to maintain quality, budget, and schedule adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• 8-12 years’ experience on mid-large scale residential & mixed-use projects.
• Strong communication and client management skills.
• Arabic speaking is a must.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Role Description

The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design and execution of high-end interior projects from concept through completion in our Abu Dhabi studio. This full-time, on-site role involves developing design concepts, preparing detailed drawings and presentations, and coordinating FF&E selections to meet project requirements and client expectations. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and suppliers, oversee design documentation, and ensure that all work adheres to quality, budget, and schedule constraints. Responsibilities include client-facing meetings, design reviews, site visits, and providing guidance and mentorship to junior designers to maintain consistency in design standards and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Interior Design and Space Planning, with a track record of delivering cohesive, functional, and aesthetically refined spaces.
• Solid understanding of Architecture and Construction Drawings, including the ability to interpret, coordinate, and produce technical documentation.
• Proficiency in FF&E selection and specification, including materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and accessories aligned with project concepts and budgets.
• Advanced skills in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign) and presentation tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• Several years of experience in interior design, preferably in a senior or lead role with demonstrated project management responsibilities.
• Strong communication and client management skills, with the ability to present concepts clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented approach, ability to manage multiple projects, and familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE.

Qualifications

Degree in Interior Design or related internationally recognized degree.

8 - 12 years’ experience on mid-large scale residential & mixed-use projects.

Strong space planning skills and attention to detail.

Previous experience working with Lead Design Consultants (LDC)and developers.

Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop) & AutoCAD

Familiarity with Revit is a plus.

Possess excellent English communication, coordination, and presentation skills.

Arabic speaking is a must.
