Job summary

KN International Architects and Engineers LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled Inspector to join our team. This role involves monitoring and inspecting construction activities for infrastructure and sewerage projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and industry best practices.

The successful candidate will have site inspection experience, quality control expertise, and contractor coordination skills, with emphasis on UAE standards and approvals such as TAQA

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure and sewerage projects.
• Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and project regulations.
• Experience with inspection and documentation procedures for infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with TAQA WS (SWS/ADSSC) approvals.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections to ensure work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor contractor activities, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Perform quality control checks on materials, workmanship, and construction methods.
• Review and assess Inspection Requests(IRs) submitted by contractors and provide timely responses.
• Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, inspection reports, and non-conformance issues.
• Identify deficiencies, generate reports, and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to resolve site-related issues.
• Conduct site visits to verify excavation, bedding, pipe installation, compaction, and backfilling for sewerage infrastructure projects.
• Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Attend progress meetings and provide updates on construction status, risks, and quality concerns.
