Senior Infrastructure Estimator – Roads & Utilities (UAE)

Job summary

Egisgroup in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a highly motivated Estimator - Infrastructure to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for roads, utilities, drainage and water networks. You will review documents, perform take-offs and develop build-ups for labor, materials and subcontractors.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 5 years UAE estimation experience in infrastructure, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with Candy Estimation Software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE estimation experience in infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience using Candy Estimation Software.
• Proven experience preparing complete tender estimates independently.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity take-off techniques.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and contractual requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate cost estimates for infra projects including roads, utilities, drainage and water networks.
• Prepare rate build-ups for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and temporary works.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and constraints.
• Analyze tender risks, opportunities and commercial considerations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning and construction teams during bid prep.
• Prepare tender clarifications and respond to client queries.
• Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases and productivity norms.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements during tendering.
• Support management in bid reviews and tender submission processes.
