Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking an experienced in-house energy lawyer for opportunities in Abu Dhabi. You will advise on major oil & gas and infrastructure transactions, support joint ventures and partner with senior business leaders to align legal strategy with growth.

The role sits within top-tier teams handling high-value projects across multiple jurisdictions. Ideal candidates have 5–15 years PQE, a common law qualification, and experience with complex commercial arrangements involving national oil

Qualifications

Qualification in a common law jurisdiction.
Approximately 5–15 years' post-qualification experience.
Experience within leading international law firms and/or multinational corporate environments.
Strong expertise advising on oil & gas, energy or infrastructure transactions.
Experience navigating complex arrangements with NOCs, IOCs, EPC contractors or government entities.
Commercial awareness and ability to operate in fast-paced, high-profile environments.

Responsibilities

Advise on oil & gas, energy and infrastructure transactions.
Support complex joint ventures and strategic partnerships.
Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial, engineering, construction and operational agreements.
Partner with senior leaders to provide commercially focused legal advice.
Identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks across major projects.
Contribute to delivery of projects critical to growth and long-term strategy.
