Job summary

Bahri in Dubai seeks an experienced QHSE Superintendent to oversee third-party vessel inspections and pre-vetting for Masters. You will drive ISM/ISO compliance, audit programs, and incident investigations across the fleet. Strong leadership and maritime safety expertise are essential.

Responsibilities include coordinating external audits, reporting findings, and ensuring corrective actions are completed in a timely manner. A senior maritime career with at least 8 years at sea is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marine/Naval Engineering or related field is required.
• Master's degree or Chief Engineer’s Certificate is highly preferred.
• Class 1 Certificate for Deck or Engine is advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant maritime experience in senior roles.
• Experience sailing as Master or Chief Engineer for at least 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Set up third party inspections and provide pre-vetting support to Masters.
• Analyze oil major inspection deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
• Implement ISM/ISO audits and coordinate responses to audit findings.
• Conduct ship and shore audits and close out non-conformances.
• Lead ship-shore drills and coordinate contingency planning.
