Wood in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced PMC Senior HSE Site Engineer to oversee construction and commissioning activities, ensuring they meet Health, Safety and Environmental standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations. You will promote a strong safety culture, prevent incidents, and support on-schedule, on-budget project delivery for a high-profile client.

The role requires leading HSE inspections, audits, JSA/RA/PTW approvals, managing high-risk activities, and mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH IGC or higher certification is required.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent safety training preferred.
• Experience in HSE management on Oil & Gas PMC/EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with project HSE policies, client requirements, local regulations, and international standards.
• Monitor and supervise site construction, commissioning, and startup activities for safe execution.
• Conduct HSE inspections, audits, and workplace assessments to identify hazards.
• Review and approve JSA, RA, Method Statements, and PTW documentation.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior HSE staff and coordinate with clients and contractors.
