Job summary

Azizi Group in Dubai is seeking a Design Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring the production of proposals and design packages meet processes and quality, while coordinating across Architecture, ID, MEP and Structural teams and managing schedules and budgets.

You will enforce design procedures, ensure compliance with authorities' regulations, review drawings for guideline adherence, and mentor junior staff while liaising with external consultants and stakeholders to deliver robust

Qualifications

• Experience in design and management and familiarity with local authorities guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and follow up on the full design packages including PD and DD proposals in coordination with all design disciplines for the assigned projects.
• Assist in resolving design issues as per authorities regulations.
• Enforce general design procedures during the design process.
• Enforce compliance of coordination procedures with Architecture, ID, MEP and Structural departments within the concept design team and resolve coordination issues.
• Keep up to date with latest design requirements, NOCs, sustainability and environmental requirements and inform the team.
• Review drawings for compliance with authority design guidelines and regulations and master developers' DCR.
• Periodically review design progress with HOD to ensure compliance with initial design direction and monitor schedule and budget.
• Initiate all required RFPs during design stages and manage procurement RFPs for the projects.
• Direct and manage the team to modify existing designs based on management direction.
• Follow up and track project changes and adjustments, liaising with all stakeholders.
• Assist Sales and marketing teams as directed by management.
• Provide support to junior team members while guiding them through processes.
• Attend meetings with external consultants and authorities when needed.
• Assist HOD in managing external consultants and identifying workflow/process issues.
• Manage project health and resource allocation and all contractual obligations.
