Job summary

Egis in Dubai seeks a highly skilled Senior Resident Engineer to lead on-site engineering activities for a large-scale building project. You will ensure adherence to design, quality, safety, and local codes while coordinating with project managers, contractors, and authorities.

You will mentor junior staff, review methodologies and submittals, prepare progress reports, and drive schedule and budget discipline to deliver the project on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years total experience with 10+ years in Resident/Senior Resident Engineering.
• PE license preferred; PMP certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, QA/QC, safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities for the project.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Review construction methodologies, work plans and submittals.
• Conduct site inspections and quality control against design and codes.
• Mentor junior engineers and on-site staff.
• Prepare progress reports and identify risks with mitigation plans.
• Liaise with authorities to obtain permits and approvals.
• Implement robust safety protocols and optimize construction processes.
