Job summary

Egis seeks a highly skilled Senior Resident Engineer in Dubai to oversee on-site engineering activities for large-scale building projects. You will lead on-site teams, ensure quality, safety, and timeliness, and coordinate with project managers, contractors, and authorities.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with extensive experience on high-rise projects, PE or PMP preferred, and familiarity with UAE codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Total 20+ years of experience with 10+ years as Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer.
• PE license preferred or equivalent.
• Contract management and oversight skills essential.
• PMI PMP certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
• Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on-site
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
• Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Analyze and optimize construction processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our team in Dubai. As a key member of our building construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction project.

• Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals

Qualifications

• Minimum 10years of experience as Resident Engineer/Senior Resident Engineer, with a focus on highrise projects. Minimum total years of experience is 20 years.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or any equivalent.
• Contract management and oversight practicing skillsis a must.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
• In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Abu Dhabi, UAE
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Strong leadership and communication abilities, with experience in managing and mentoring teams
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
