Job summary

Reap HR Consultancy in Abu Dhabi, UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef for a steakhouse with a Josper/Jasper grill focus. This role demands hands-on leadership, expert steak preparation, meat handling, and grill operation in a high-volume kitchen.

The ideal candidate has strong grilling experience, knowledge of steak cuts and doneness, and a background in steakhouse or premium casual dining concepts. UAE/GCC experience is a plus; Nepali/Sri Lankan candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sous Chef or senior grill chef.
• Strong steak and Josper/grill expertise required.
• Experience handling meat, grilling, and portion control.
• UAE/GCC restaurant experience is advantageous.
• Nepali and Sri Lankan candidates preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Josper/Jasper-style charcoal grill confidently and safely.
• Prepare and cook different steak cuts to required doneness.
• Handle, portion, prepare, and store meat properly.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portions during high-volume service.
• Assist with menu development and creation of new grill items.
