Job summary

REAP HR is recruiting an experienced Senior Sous Chef – Steak & Josper Grill for a premium restaurant in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This key kitchen role requires hands-on expertise with Josper/Jasper grills, strong steak preparation, meat handling, and high-volume service.

You will work closely with the Head Chef, develop grill menu items, ensure food safety and presentation, and maintain the restaurant’s standards. UAE/GCC experience is advantageous; joining soon preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of sous chef or senior grill chef experience.
• Strong steak and grill experience is essential.
• Hands-on Josper/Jasper-style charcoal grill experience.
• Excellent knowledge of steak cuts and doneness levels.
• Experience with meat preparation and handling.
• Experience with burgers and grilled products.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Josper/Jasper-style charcoal grill confidently and safely.
• Prepare and cook different steak cuts according to required doneness.
• Handle, portion, prepare, and store meat correctly.
• Prepare burgers and other grilled menu items.
• Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portions.
• Monitor food quality during preparation and service.
• Support the Head Chef and kitchen team during daily operations.
• Assist with menu development and creation of new grill items.
• Monitor ingredient usage and minimise waste.
• Maintain high hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
