Job summary

Qualifications

7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience designing and supporting distributed systems in production.
Proficiency with Go or another modern backend language.
Experience with cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
Experience with relational, distributed, or NoSQL databases (e.g., CockroachDB, DynamoDB).
Experience building scalable REST or GraphQL APIs.
Understanding of event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools like Grafana.
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable backend services using Go.
Own critical services supporting Package Protection, Returns Protection, Claims, Orders, Tracking, and Email Parsing.
Design and evolve distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for internal products, merchants, and external partners.
Develop and improve integrations with merchant platforms, carriers, and third-party APIs.
Optimize system performance, reliability, scalability, and observability.
Mentor engineers through technical leadership, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.
