Job summary

Maandag® in Dubai seeks a senior trader to develop and manage an international sourcing network for fertilizer, chemical, and mineral products. You will oversee the complete trade lifecycle from procurement to final delivery, negotiate terms, and build strong relationships with producers, suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners.

The role requires 5–10 years in international commodity trading, deep market knowledge, and the ability to manage risk and finance aspects across cross-border

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in international commodity trading.
• Strong experience in fertilizer, chemical, mineral, or related commodity markets.
• Demonstrated experience in sourcing and origination.
• A proven record of executing international commodity transactions.
• Strong experience in commercial negotiations.
• Experience managing transactions from procurement through to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, specifications, and contractual conditions.
• Prepare and negotiate purchase and sales contracts.
• Review commercial risks before execution.
• Ensure transactions are aligned with company policies and trading strategies.
• Monitor contractual obligations from both suppliers and customers.
• Follow up on outstanding commercial matters.
• Work with finance teams on payment structures and trade finance requirements.
• Support the management of letters of credit and other international payment mechanisms.
• Ensure all transactions are properly documented and executed.
• Develop trading strategies based on market conditions.
• Manage the full trade lifecycle from sourcing through to final delivery.
