Job summary

A prestigious Government Entity in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced GL Accountant to join its finance team. The role focuses on general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will support month-end closing, audits, VAT requirements, and IFRS reporting, maintaining precise records and delivering timely financial statements in line with IFRS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end closing activities.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Support audit processes, VAT requirements, and financial reporting activities.
