Job summary

Tanqeeb in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead investigations, analysis, and design for major infrastructure and development projects.

You will oversee foundation systems, ground improvement, slope stability, and coordination with civil, structural, and construction teams. A degree in geotechnical or related engineering and strong leadership, communication, and technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Geotechnical/Civil/Geological Engineering or related field.
• Proven geotechnical engineering experience including foundation design and ground investigation.
• Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, slope stability, ground improvement, excavation.
• Experience with large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional accreditation (PE/Chartered Engineer) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations, analysis, design, and planning.
• Oversee foundation systems, excavation, retaining structures, slope stability, and ground improvement.
• Review reports, calculations, drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural and construction teams, contractors, and consultants.
• Assess ground conditions, geotechnical risks, settlement, stability, and construction challenges.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, quality, safety, cost and schedule.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor geotechnical engineers and project teams.
