EDGE Group is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer for POWERTECH in Abu Dhabi. You will lead stress and vibration analyses of gas turbine components, including compressors, turbines, shafts, bearings and structures within turbojet and turbofan programs.

The role requires expertise in mechanical design, propulsion, and project planning, with responsibility to develop junior engineers and ensure safety and operability across design stages.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with focus on propulsion or gas turbines.
• Strong background in gas turbine propulsion, mechanical design and heat transfer.
• Experience with whole engine structural analysis and clearance assessments is a plus.
• Experience with bearing performance assessment is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and optimize gas turbine systems for life, weight, manufacturability and cost.
• Perform thermo-mechanical simulations across design conditions to ensure safety and operability.
• Conduct creep, fatigue and fracture assessments.
• Perform vibration and rotordynamic analyses.
• Carry out FMECA to support safety assessments.
• Support team, mentor juniors, review designs and testing guidelines.
• Identify risks and plan mitigations.
