Job summary

AIQ in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-native applications that embed AI capabilities for oil and gas operations. You will work across backend (Python/FastAPI, Node.js) and frontend (React/Angular, TypeScript) to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

You'll collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, and domain experts, apply CI/CD and DevOps practices, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining high code quality and ownership, using

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5–8 years of full-stack software development experience.
• Experience with Python (FastAPI) and/or Node.js.
• Frontend with React/Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of microservices, REST, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications supporting AI-driven solutions for oil & gas operations.
• Develop responsive and performant frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or equivalent).
• Build robust backend services and APIs using modern frameworks (Python/FastAPI, Node.js) following microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data through APIs, data services, and integration layers.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, data scientists, and domain experts to translate requirements into scalable digital products.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Integrate AI/ML services and models into production-grade applications.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability across distributed systems.
• Contribute to system design, architecture discussions, and engineering best practices, with growing ownership over key technical decisions.
• Use AI coding assistants and agentic dev tools to accelerate implementation and testing, while applying strong engineering judgment.
• Participate in CI/CD automation, DevOps workflows, and continuous improvement of delivery pipelines.
• Support integration with industrial systems and data sources (e.g., IoT, SCADA, enterprise platforms).
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on full-stack best practices, including effective and responsible use of AI-assisted tooling.
