Job summary

EDGE is seeking a Senior Digital Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead FPGA firmware development, verification, and integration for advanced aerospace and defense systems. The role emphasizes VHDL design, SoC architectures, and DO-254 compliance within a multidisciplinary hardware-software team.

The successful candidate will drive full development lifecycles, collaborate with PCB and E‑CAD engineers, and ensure robust hardware-software integration across product lines in a high‑technology environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronic/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years of hands-on FPGA firmware development experience.
• Experience within aerospace, defense, or high-technology industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement FPGA firmware using VHDL for FPGA, SoC, and CPLD platforms.
• Optimize firmware for resource-constrained devices such as Intel Max10 CPLDs.
• Lead full FPGA development lifecycle activities from requirements through deployment.
• Develop Board Support Packages (BSPs) and peripheral interfaces.
• Ensure firmware development complies with aerospace and defense standards including DO-254.
