Job description

Apt Resources is on the lookout for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior FMCG Purchasing Coordinator to join a leading foodstuff trading company working in International markets. In this pivotal role you will be responsible for managing the procurement of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) from various global suppliers ensuring that our inventory levels align with market demand while maintaining quality standards.

Your expertise will contribute to enhancing supplier relationships optimizing purchasing strategies and driving cost efficiencies allowing the company to serve its client base effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee procurement activities for FMCG ensuring quality and timely delivery of all products.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers while monitoring market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to estimate demand and adjust purchase orders accordingly.
  • Manage supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to foster strong relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases inventory levels and supplier contracts.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and improve purchasing processes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing within the FMCG sector preferably in a Trading company with import and export activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite; experience with procurement software and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
