Job summary

V.Group in Dubai seeks a Fleet Superintendent to oversee technical policies and ensure the highest safety standards across assigned vessels. You will be the primary accountable person, coordinating maintenance, dry-docking, and regulatory compliance while delivering flawless service to the client.

You will lead senior officers, drive a strong safety culture, and manage PMS with accurate reporting. A recognised Engineering or Naval Architecture qualification and English proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering or naval architecture qualification and/or relevant sea experience.
• Strong communication ability in English, both written and spoken.
• Good interpersonal, planning and organisational skills.
• Creative and effective problem-solving approach.
• Experience as senior shipboard officer or fleet superintendent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety policies are applied across assigned vessels and uphold high safety standards.
• Deliver technical management services, acting as the primary liaison between customer and ship.
• Own vessel operations, plan dry dock, maintenance, repairs and surveys per regulatory requirements.
• Lead senior officers, conduct performance appraisals and foster a safety culture.
• Manage PMS, record maintenance history and ensure compliance in ShipSure and audits.
• Provide timely reports to clients on management, expenditure and vessel condition.
• Monitor performance, fuel use and energy consumption; implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate budget information with Fleet Manager; control vessel expenditure.
