Job summary

WSP in the Middle East seeks a Senior Consultant – Fire & Life Safety to join our team in the UAE. You will provide Fire & Life Safety consultancy services for complex, large-scale projects across the region, developing strategies and engaging with clients, authorities, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local and international codes.

Responsibilities include design oversight of protection systems, compliance audits, risk assessments, testing and commissioning, and mentoring junior

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or related discipline.
Pursuing professional license/certifications (PE, CEng, CFPS or equivalent) desirable.
08-12 years of experience in fire life safety/protection engineering consulting.
Knowledge of UAE building codes and international standards (SBC, IBC, NFPA, BS).

Responsibilities

Design Oversight: provide input on fire protection systems and prepare strategy reports.
Compliance & Inspection: ensure designs meet local and international codes and standards.
Risk Management: support fire risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
Testing & Commissioning: assist with testing and commissioning of systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration: coordinate with architects, clients, and authorities.
Team Development: mentor junior consultants and promote best practices.
Business Development: contribute to bids and client meetings.
Thought Leadership: participate in conferences and technical forums.
