Job summary

Xeluxe Fire Safety Consultancy is seeking a Fire & Life Safety Engineer to join our team in the UAE. You will lead complex Fire & Life Safety projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellence in design and compliance across the Middle East.

You will work on landmark hospitality, commercial, industrial and high-rise developments, applying performance-based design where needed and mentoring junior engineers. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Safety Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer/Chartered Engineer preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of Saudi Building Code, Saudi Fire Code, IBC, NFPA Codes and UAE fire and safety codes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and BIM tools.
• Experience in fire engineering consultancy delivering fire strategies and life safety services.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large, complex Fire & Life Safety projects with high client satisfaction.
• Develop comprehensive Fire & Life Safety strategies per prescriptive codes and performance-based design.
• Work on landmark projects across the Middle East and globally in hospitality, commercial, industrial, educational and high-rise sectors.
• Collaborate with Performance-Based Design team for CFD modelling of smoke, evacuation and fire scenarios.
• Supervise and mentor engineers and BIM modellers, providing guidance and development support.
• Lead client-facing meetings, site inspections and design discussions with stakeholders.
• Evaluate new technologies and design trends to enhance fire safety outcomes.
• Prepare qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to guide strategic decisions.
• Support business development by identifying opportunities and strengthening client relationships.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage large-scale and complex Fire & Life Safety projects ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
• Develop comprehensive Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Strategies in accordance with prescriptive code requirements and performance-based design approaches aligned with international and regional codes and standards.
• Work on a diverse portfolio of landmark projects across the Middle East and globally covering various sectors including hospitality commercial industrial educational and high-rise developments.
• Engage with the Performance-Based Design team to develop performance-based fire engineering solutions using CFD modelling and analysis for smoke movement evacuation and fire scenarios — especially in cases where prescriptive code compliance is not achievable or the projects design innovation necessitates a performance-based approach.
• Supervise and mentor a team of engineers BIM Modellers providing technical guidance performance feedback and professional development support.
• This will be a client-facing role managing project meetings site inspections and addressing design and construction-related fire safety queries with extensive involvement in client coordination and technical discussions.
• Stay at the forefront of innovation by exploring new technologies materials and design trends assessing their fire safety impact and providing clear actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Deliver qualitative and quantitative risk assessments presenting findings that guide strategic decisions and enhance overall fire safety outcomes.
• Support business development activities including identifying new opportunities preparing technical proposals and strengthening client relationships to help grow Xeluxes regional presence.

Requirements And Qualifications
