Grant Thornton UAE is seeking a capable Accounting Advisory professional to support senior colleagues on financial accounting engagements, lead in preparing work papers, and contribute to audit planning with a focus on financial reporting risks.

You will work on IFRS and US GAAP, help prepare financial statements, stay updated on new standards, and advise clients on implications, including entity restructurings, with a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Accounting Advisory in a top international consulting firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of IFRS requirements and practical knowledge around the application of accounting standards.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and spoken English; Arabic speaking is advantageous.
• Willingness and ability to work additional hours, as needed, and travel to various client sites.

Responsabilités

• Supporting senior colleagues on financial accounting engagements.
• Leading in preparing work papers and drafts for financial accounting engagements.
• Leading in audit plans with a focus on identifying and addressing key financial reporting risks.
• Leading in preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
• Staying updated on new accounting standards and advising clients on the implications for their financial reporting.
• Supporting accounting for new standards, entity restructuring, and conversions.
• Providing hands-on client support that exceeds client expectations.
