Job summary

Grant Thornton UAE is seeking a Senior Associate for the Financial Reporting Advisory Services (FRAS). You will plan, direct, and complete audits, provide accounting advice and implement new standards while supervising junior colleagues.

You will collaborate with senior teammates on client engagements to drive success in a dynamic UAE market. As part of our FRAS team, you’ll focus on complex reporting standards, transactional support, and strengthening financial controls for diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA/ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in financial accounting engagements.

Responsibilities

• Support senior colleagues on financial accounting engagements.
• Lead in preparing work papers and drafts for financial accounting engagements.
• Lead in audit plans with a focus on identifying and addressing key financial reporting risks.
• Lead in preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/US GAAP.
• Stay updated on new accounting standards and advise clients on implications for financial reporting.
• Support accounting for new standards, entity restructurings, and conversions.
• Provide hands-on client support that exceeds client expectations.
