Job summary

Aventus, Abu Dhabi, seeks an experienced finance professional to lead financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, planning and compliance for the business. The role ensures accuracy and integrity of financial information and provides management with insightful analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities include overseeing monthly, quarterly and annual statements, IFRS compliance, journal control, month-end and year-end closes, and maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent.
• At least 8 years of relevant finance experience.
• Strong IFRS, taxation, budgeting, financial reporting and controls knowledge.
• Experience in financial reporting and month-end/year-end processes.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide commercially focused financial advice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and records.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and robust controls.
• Coordinate with auditors and tax advisers.
• Provide variance analysis and financial insights to management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights for leadership.
