Job summary

Luna PR is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls in our Dubai office. The role requires strong accounting expertise, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive accuracy and compliance across the business.

You will coordinate with auditors and tax advisers, manage cash flow, and provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions and sustained growth in the UAE agency environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA is preferred.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, including experience in a financial management or controller role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Solid understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with senior management.
• Previous experience in a PR, marketing, professional services, or agency environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and cash flow forecasts.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, expenses, and financial performance to ensure effective financial management.
• Establish, maintain, and improve internal financial controls, accounting policies, and reporting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with applicable UAE financial regulations, VAT, Corporate Tax, and relevant accounting standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, banks, and other financial service providers.
• Monitor client billing, outstanding receivables, vendor payments, and overall financial obligations.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management to support strategic planning and business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency, reporting accuracy, and operational processes.
• Support the management of financial systems, documentation, and overall financial governance.
